Online Merchant Business Development Manager

About the role

PalmPay is seeking a passionate, strategic, and detail‑oriented Online Merchant Business Manager to drive merchant acquisition, growth, and retention across its digital payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute acquisition and growth strategies to increase online transaction volume and revenue.
• Identify, engage, and onboard new fintech, e‑commerce, and digital service merchants across diverse industries.
• Build and manage relationships with key online merchants, payment gateways, and PSP partners.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless merchant integration.
• Analyze merchant performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and revenue optimisation strategies.
• Drive merchant retention through proactive engagement and service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience in online merchant acquiring, fintech sales or payment gateway management.
• Strong understanding of online payment channels – Card, Transfer, Wallet, USSD and API integrations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Result‑oriented, self‑driven and able to meet sales and revenue targets.
