About the role
Mercy Group Clinics is hiring a Nurse/Midwife for its clinic in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The role covers general nursing care and antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, with a stated requirement of at least 1 year of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients' health conditions and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments
- Provide nursing care and support to patients
- Conduct antenatal and postnatal assessments and care
- Assist with labour, delivery and immediate newborn care, and monitor mothers and newborns for complications
- Educate patients on health, hygiene, family planning and maternal care
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation
- Assist doctors during medical procedures and emergencies
- Ensure infection prevention, patient safety and proper ward hygiene
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families
- Comply with professional nursing and midwifery standards and organisational policies
Required profile
- Minimum of a Diploma qualification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
