National Program Manager – Nonprofit

About the role

The National Program Manager will lead, integrate and ensure quality of IPAS Nigeria’s program portfolio, aligning with country, node and global strategies. As a member of the Country Senior Leadership Team, the role drives program excellence, partner accountability and donor confidence while enabling teams to deliver results with autonomy and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive program roadmap aligned with country and global strategies.
• Ensure all program activities align with IPAS strategic priorities and promote a collaborative, values‑driven team culture.
• Oversee delivery of programs to meet scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards, and lead quarterly performance reviews.
• Strengthen project execution processes, maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
• Manage financial planning, monitoring and control, conduct regular financial reviews and optimize resource allocation.
• Identify, document and actively manage program risks with mitigation strategies.
• Drive donor stewardship, fundraising and expand partnerships to enhance IPAS Nigeria’s impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale program portfolios in the nonprofit or health sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work on senior leadership teams and influence strategic direction.
• Strong track record of ensuring donor compliance, financial oversight and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with partners, donors and internal teams.
• Ability to foster high‑performing, collaborative and values‑driven cultures.
