Medical Laboratory Technician – Lagos

About the role

EHA Clinics, a subsidiary of eHealth Africa, is seeking a motivated Medical Laboratory Technician to join its laboratory team in Sangotedo, Lagos. The role involves performing routine laboratory tests, supporting patient care, and maintaining high‑quality standards in a fast‑paced health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on adults and children and label, sort, and record specimens.
• Operate and maintain automatic hematology and chemistry analyzers, pipettes, thermometers, balances, and other laboratory equipment.
• Enter results and track specimens using the Lab Information Management System (LIMS).
• Run quality controls, calibrate instruments, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Communicate abnormal results to supervisory staff, physicians, and patients promptly.
• Assist with inventory management and keep laboratory checklists up to date.
• Provide patient and family education using the clinic’s teaching manuals.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification with at least 12 months of relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to work full‑time in an onsite laboratory setting.
• Professional, compassionate communication with patients and team members.
