Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Castel Resources is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The engineer designs, inspects, installs and maintains mechanical equipment and systems, supervises their repair and servicing, and keeps equipment running with preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, inspect, install and maintain mechanical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime.
• Supervise mechanical installation, repair and servicing activities.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and equipment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain maintenance records.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams and departments to achieve project objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and engineering best practices.
