QA/QC Executive – Cable Manufacturing

About the role

Adassa Group is hiring a full-time QA/QC Executive for its cable manufacturing business in Abeokuta and Ogun State. The role covers routine testing, material approval, inspections, audit preparation and quality reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise routine tests: spark test, high voltage (Hi-Pot), insulation resistance, conductor resistance, tensile and elongation, ageing oven, dimensional checks.
• Approve incoming raw materials such as copper rod, PVC, XLPE and steel.
• Perform in-process and final inspection for all cable types and authorise drum release.
• Maintain QMS documentation, NCR, CAPA and calibration records for lab equipment.
• Lead preparation for SON MANCAP and ISO 9001:2015 audits.
• Train production operators on quality standards and reduce rework and scrap.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly QC reports for management.

Required profile

• 3 to 7 years of QA/QC experience inside a cable/wire manufacturer (Coleman Wires & Cables, Cutix Plc, Kabelmetal, MicCom, Nigerchin, Cometstar, Denki or equivalent).
• BSc/HND in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science or a related field.
• Lives in or is willing to relocate to the Sango-Ota / Ota / Ifo axis.
• Experience with ISO 9001 internal audits and with XLPE and armoured cables are added advantages.

Required skills

• Hands-on use of cable testing equipment: spark tester, Hi-Pot tester, megger, vernier, tensile machine.
• Good knowledge of NIS IEC 60227, IEC 60228 and SON MANCAP requirements.
