MEAL Officer – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role
The MEAL Officer will support SpringAid's Sida‑funded initiative that empowers women and youth in Imo State through entrepreneurship and job creation. The role focuses on designing, implementing and overseeing monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems to ensure measurable impact.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and manage MEAL systems aligned with the Sida Results Framework.
- Lead baseline, midline and end‑line assessments and track indicators such as employment, income, business performance and skill development.
- Facilitate feedback and complaints mechanisms to ensure accountability and safeguarding.
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly MEAL reports of high quality.
- Conduct data quality checks, verification visits, spot assessments and documentation.
- Support adaptive management by facilitating learning reviews and documenting lessons learned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Economics or a related field.
- 2–3 years of MEAL experience in NGOs or donor‑funded projects.
- Strong analytical and data management abilities.
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Experience working with communities, especially women and youth.
