Material Analyst

About the role

The Material Analyst will review, verify, and convert employee requests into purchase orders while ensuring budget compliance. The role also analyses material usage trends, forecasts future requirements and monitors inventory levels to maintain optimal stock.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review the daily queue of purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with company purchasing policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and data analysis to verify existing stock before new orders.
• Oversee store operations with strong attention to detail and maintain accurate reporting.
• Prepare and submit updates on pending orders, track shipments and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records and update the database to meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to prevent material shortages or overstock situations.
• Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce material costs.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or B.Sc. in Social Science or Engineering‑related fields; professional certification is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on material management experience in a manufacturing environment.
