Market Supply Chain Planner – East & West Africa (7‑month contract)

About the role

The Market Supply Chain Planner will act as a strategic partner for the East and West Africa markets, leading demand and supply planning for a 7‑month maternity contract. The role combines data‑driven forecasting, S&OP leadership and coordination of new product launches to ensure continuous supply and drive revenue opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for the assigned portfolio across multiple horizons.
• Partner with commercial and finance teams to rationalise gaps between unit and financial forecasts.
• Apply statistical forecasting models and digital tools to automate demand planning.
• Lead the local S&OP process, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and accountability.
• Support commercial decisions with market, product and industry insights.
• Coordinate accelerated new‑product launches and special projects.
• Monitor KPI performance (forecast error, bias, inventory, write‑offs, launch metrics) and report to stakeholders.
• Work with the Market Planning Hub to guarantee supply continuity and manage escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of planning processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams in a supply‑chain environment.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end supply‑chain and logistics processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain, operations management or a related discipline.
