Manager, ITTS Advisory (International Tax)

About the role

This is an experienced manager position within the International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS)-Advisory service line. The manager leads and coordinates teams of professional staff on international tax projects and manages project operations so that assignments meet the firm's standards for quality and risk management, engagement economics and cash collection.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams providing international tax services such as cross-border tax advisory, tax restructuring, tax due diligence and regulatory services including processing of NOTAP and Pioneer Status Incentive approvals.
• Apply sound knowledge of local tax laws, double tax treaties and international tax law in projects.
• Manage relationships with clients, regulators and other external parties.
• Use quality project management strategies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
• Monitor project progress, manage resources and escalate challenges to leadership.
• Stay up to date on changes in local and international tax laws and communicate their implications to clients.
• Supervise, coach and train younger team members.

Required profile

• Degree from an accredited tertiary institution with a minimum of second-class upper division or equivalent.
• Mandatory membership of a professional body: ICAN, ACCA or CITN.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in international tax services, preferably in a multinational corporation or professional services firm.
• Proven track record of managing complex international tax projects.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of local and international tax laws and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Project management and operations management skills, including compliance with risk management, resource management and timely cash collection.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail in interpreting complex tax issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
