Financial Sales Consultant

About the role

Heirs Insurance Group, a family of insurance companies covering general insurance, life insurance and advisory, is hiring a Financial Sales Consultant. The role is full-time and based in Lagos, working in a hybrid arrangement that mixes on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The consultant identifies prospective clients, assesses their financial needs and recommends insurance and investment solutions aligned with their goals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospective clients and conduct financial needs assessments.
• Develop and present financial plans, explain product features and benefits, and manage client portfolios.
• Maintain ongoing relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare sales proposals and meet defined sales targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to process applications.
• Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory changes and company offerings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; insurance professional certifications are an advantage.
• Proven experience in financial advisory, insurance sales or wealth management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
• High level of integrity, customer focus, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.

Required skills

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office; familiarity with Nigerian insurance and financial regulations is beneficial.
