Legal and Compliance Associate

About the role

The Legal and Compliance Associate will provide legal advisory support to senior management, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist in private equity fund development across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines legal drafting, compliance monitoring, corporate governance, and fundraising support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on delegated matters and interpret relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor legislative amendments and advise management on their impact.
• Draft, review, and supervise external counsel in the preparation of legal documentation, including offering memoranda.
• Support regulatory filings, reporting obligations, and maintain compliance registers and incident logs.
• Perform AML/CFT/CPF, data protection, and policy adherence monitoring.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reports.
• Coordinate board and committee meetings, prepare board packs, minutes, and maintain statutory registers.
• Assist in fundraising, investor engagement, and the drafting of fund documentation for private equity structures.

Required profile

• Strong background in corporate law and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with AML/CFT, data protection, and statutory reporting.
• Familiarity with private equity fund structures and cross‑border investment arrangements.
• Ability to draft and review complex legal documents and coordinate board activities.
