Lead Talent Development & Engagement

About the role

The Lead Talent Development & Engagement will design and drive talent management, leadership capability building and employee engagement strategies to sustain Airtel Nigeria’s culture and performance. Working closely with HR and business leaders, the role ensures the attraction, development, engagement and retention of top talent while fostering continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning, high‑potential programs and performance management support.
• Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, town‑hall meetings, wellness programs and recognition schemes.
• Lead organisational change projects, providing communication, learning and readiness support.
• Plan and manage learning and development interventions, conduct training needs analysis and monitor ROI.
• Provide internal consulting to HR leadership on policy, culture transformation and capability‑building needs.
• Produce dashboards and reports on talent, engagement and retention metrics and analyse workforce trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field (required); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in talent management, learning & development, employee engagement or organisational development.
• Professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) or similar certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and strategic advisory skills, with ability to lead in a fast‑changing environment.
