HR Officer

About the role

We are seeking an HR Officer to manage recruitment, onboarding, employee records and support the marketing and sales workforce in our agricultural and livestock business based in Lagos. The role involves ensuring compliance with labour regulations, handling employee relations and contributing to performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, staff records and employee documentation.
• Support marketing and sales workforce, including recruitment of marketers, sales representatives and technical officers.
• Monitor staff attendance, performance, conduct and productivity.
• Handle employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate staff welfare, leave and other HR‑related activities.
• Support performance management, staff appraisal processes and payroll preparation.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Identify training and development needs and ensure employees have required knowledge and resources.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with company policies and labour regulations.

Required profile

• HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 2 years of HR experience, preferably in agriculture, livestock, veterinary or related business.
• Good knowledge of HR practices, employee relations and Nigerian labour regulations.
• Understanding of animal/livestock nutrition and veterinary products; knowledge of feed mills and farm operations is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
