About the role
The Laundry Supervisor will lead daily laundry operations, ensuring high-quality processing of linen, towels, uniforms and guest clothing while coordinating a team of attendants.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily laundry activities including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding and packaging.
- Assign duties, prepare work schedules and train staff on proper laundry techniques and equipment operation.
- Monitor quality of washed items, ensure timely delivery to departments or guests, and maintain accurate records of laundry flow.
- Inspect and report faults in washing machines, dryers and pressing equipment, coordinating maintenance as needed.
- Control use of detergents, chemicals, water and electricity to minimise waste and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety procedures.
- Maintain linen inventory, report missing or damaged items, and keep the laundry area clean and orderly.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years experience in laundry operations or a similar supervisory role.
- At least an SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate) qualification.
