About the role
The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties, while maintaining proper hygiene and food safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chef
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces and work areas
- Ensure proper storage and handling of kitchen items
- Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain kitchen hygiene
- Assist with receiving and arranging kitchen supplies
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the chef or supervisor
Required profile
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- Hardworking, reliable and attentive to detail
