Junior Recruiter – Freelance (Lagos)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our recruitment team on a freelance basis in Lagos. You will support the full recruitment lifecycle, gaining hands‑on experience in sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates for a variety of open positions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the recruitment team to understand vacancy requirements and draft job descriptions.
• Post openings on job advertising platforms and manage candidate pipelines.
• Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and schedule candidate interviews.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM/ATS, including candidate data and interview notes.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as reference checks, background verification, and documentation collection.
• Observe senior recruiters during interviews to learn effective interviewing techniques.
• Support sales and client‑facing activities, including shadowing consultants in client meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of recruitment experience.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
