Junior Auditor

About the role

A full-time, on-site Junior Auditor position based in Warri. The Junior Auditor assists in planning and executing audit engagements, reviewing financial records, testing internal controls and checking compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data and prepare working papers and audit documentation.
• Support the preparation of audit reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior auditors and follow established audit methodologies.
• Help identify process improvements and risk areas.
• Maintain high ethical standards, safeguard confidential information and contribute to a culture of accuracy and accountability.

Required profile

• Foundational accounting and auditing skills, including knowledge of financial statements, basic tax concepts and internal control principles.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, organisation and time management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant academic qualification such as a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a professional certification in progress (e.g. ACA, ACCA) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with productivity tools such as spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Basic accounting or audit software.
