Junior Analyst – Manufacturing Accounting & Financial Operations

About the role

Fiscal 12 is an accounting and finance partner to growing manufacturing businesses in the United States, supporting accounting, financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, financial planning and advisory services. It is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Accounting Analyst to join its Manufacturing Accounting & Financial Operations team. This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to build a foundation in accounting while gaining exposure to U.S. manufacturing businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Bank, credit card and balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries and accounting schedules, and month-end close support
• Vendor invoice processing, customer invoicing, payment applications and accounts receivable tracking
• Inventory reconciliations, cost of goods sold and work-in-progress accounting, and monthly reporting data
• Investigating basic discrepancies and variances, and preparing workpapers for review
• Maintaining task updates, following approval workflows and taking part in team meetings and training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
• Recent graduate or up to one year of relevant work experience
• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
• Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Preferred: progress toward ICAN, ACCA or another recognised accounting qualification, and internship or practical accounting experience

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Preferred: familiarity with QuickBooks, Odoo, Xero or similar accounting software
