IT Support Officer

About the role

Hamuna Courier and Logistics is looking for an IT Support Staff in Kano to keep the company's information technology systems running smoothly. The role covers technical support for staff, maintenance of computers and network connectivity, support for logistics management systems, and protection of company data.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely technical assistance to staff and resolve computer, printer, software, internet and other IT issues.
• Install, configure, update and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, operating systems and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain office internet, Wi-Fi, routers and other networking equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot logistics management systems, delivery tracking platforms, order management tools and other operational software.
• Protect company information through regular backups, access controls, antivirus protection and cybersecurity practices.
• Guide employees on the use of company software, digital platforms and email systems.
• Maintain an inventory register of IT assets such as computers, phones, printers and accessories.
• Identify faults, perform basic repairs and coordinate with external service providers for specialised work.
• Monitor system performance and availability, escalating major issues that could disrupt operations.
• Support digital logistics processes such as order processing, delivery documentation, proof of delivery and customer notifications.
• Create, update and deactivate staff accounts and manage access permissions.
• Record technical issues, repairs, software installations and updates, and report regularly to management on system performance and equipment status.
• Liaise with internet service providers, software vendors and IT technicians, and suggest improvements through automation and better use of digital tools.
