IT Support & Network Associate

About the role

An Information Technology Services team in Maiduguri is looking for a motivated, technically proficient IT Support & Network Associate. This entry-level position keeps the digital infrastructure running smoothly and acts as the first line of defence for technical issues, covering network connectivity, software deployment and end-user support.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain LAN and WAN infrastructure to keep network performance and availability high.
• Provide timely software and user support, resolving incidents to minimise downtime.
• Carry out software deployment and handle equipment carefully.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems to find root causes and lasting fixes.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation on technical activities, data entry and system configurations.
• Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and discretion.
• Work with colleagues to share accountability and use analytical skills to assess risks and ensure quality control.
• Use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for daily administrative and reporting work.

Required profile

• Basic IT skills and a solid computer literacy foundation suitable for an entry-level role.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in IT services or a related field.
• Ability to configure network components and manage LAN/WAN environments.
• Strong analytical skills, adaptability to new technologies, and a good standard of integrity.
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with business continuity and risk management principles.
