Information Technology Specialist

About the role

An organization is looking for a dynamic and proficient Information Technology Specialist to strengthen its technological framework and support digital evolution. The role covers the upkeep of IT environments, technical assistance, and administration of hardware and software assets, with a focus on troubleshooting and safeguarding the stability of the digital infrastructure. It also involves integrating technology into agricultural and information service sectors by creating and deploying digital tools that improve efficiency, data handling, communication and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, manage and troubleshoot computer networks, software applications and core IT infrastructure
• Provide prompt technical assistance for hardware, software, connectivity and system performance issues
• Install, configure, update and maintain computers, peripherals, operating systems and applications
• Monitor network health, system uptime and IT assets to ensure continuous operation
• Deploy cybersecurity protocols, data protection, backup procedures and access controls
• Manage organizational data assets, including digital records, databases and cloud platforms
• Design and run digital solutions for agricultural initiatives, information services and business operations
• Train staff on IT use, system adoption and best practices
• Assess and recommend tools and software to streamline workflows
• Keep IT documentation, manage inventory logs, user accounts, software licenses and technical records
• Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers, and stay up to date on emerging technologies
• Ensure IT services comply with internal policies and industry standards
