About the role
The IT Officer oversees the Hub's information and communication technology ecosystem, keeping digital tools, hardware and systems reliable so that programmes can run smoothly, staff work more efficiently and digital literacy initiatives succeed. The position is full time and based in Maiduguri.
Key responsibilities
- Keep computers, network connectivity, software applications and related ICT hardware running properly
- Provide technical support to employees, founders and programme participants
- Help run digital skills workshops, virtual meetings and other technology initiatives
- Manage data backups, cybersecurity, user access and basic data protection
- Run the Hub's website and digital platforms and keep technical records up to date
- Support the setup and maintenance of training rooms and audio-visual equipment
- Assess technology needs and suggest cost-effective technical solutions
