IT Compliance Auditor

About the role

An IT Compliance Auditor is needed in Lagos, Rivers and Abuja. The role works with the Audit Lead to plan internal audits and covers financial, operational and IT controls, compliance with policies and regulations, and risk-based reviews of IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan internal audits with the Audit Lead, attend meetings, interview staff and collect audit evidence, documents and information.
• Analyse data to identify financial reporting errors, fraud and operational risks.
• Examine business procedures, stock, accounts and financial records, and perform financial and operational audits.
• Evaluate compliance with company policies, procedures and external regulations, and review internal control policies for adequate coverage.
• Assess risk management processes, recommend mitigating controls and follow up with responsible teams.
• Recommend improvements to policies and procedures, and carry out risk-based reviews of IT systems.
• Identify and report IT process and operational lapses, investigate IT incidents and detect operational, fraud or business losses.
• Take part in IT projects and product development to identify risks and recommend controls, and review system deployments to confirm security and controls were applied.
• Review IT operations controls, staffing, training, conditions of service and segregation of duties.
• Deliver on other assignments delegated by the supervisor.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit, internal control, IT audit or IT control.
• Possession of ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or CISM is an advantage.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of the payments technology industry.
