IT Audit Specialist (ICFR)

About the role

Dangote Industries Limited is hiring an IT Audit Specialist for its Head Office in Lagos. The role supports the Team Lead of the IT Audit function (ICFR) in ensuring compliance with Internal Control over Financial Reporting, including certification by Directors and external auditors, and leads the IT Audit analysts in monitoring internal controls across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team lead in planning and executing IT ICFR testing throughout the year.
• Analyse IT process risks, assess the effectiveness of internal controls and update the Risk and Control matrix.
• Develop an audit programme for continuous monitoring and evaluation of IT ICFR.
• Support ICFR awareness in the Data Centre, including training and liaison with IT departments.
• Test IT infrastructure and data controls, perform integrity checks and assess audit trails of operational systems.
• Coordinate with external auditors for account certification.
• Maintain a dashboard of failed IT ICFR controls and follow up on remediation.
• Implement data analysis tools to improve audit efficiency and evaluate controls on IT infrastructure, data protection and information security.

Required profile

• First degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
• Certification such as CISA, MCSE, CISSP, CFE or CITP is required.
• At least 5-10 years of IT audit experience; experience across several industries (e.g. manufacturing, energy, utilities) and international exposure are advantages.

Required skills

• Demonstrable experience implementing ICFR and testing COBIT, GITC and SAP automated controls.
• Knowledge of COSO and COBIT frameworks, internal auditing standards and ethics.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Understanding of networking systems and computer databases.
