I‑SBC Materials Consultant – Integration & Adaptation

About the role

The project aims to strengthen integrated Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) interventions by updating existing I‑SBC training and communication materials with key maternal and newborn health content. A consultant will lead the technical review, adaptation, design, and production of these materials for community engagement, health promotion, and capacity‑building activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical review and adaptation of I‑SBC training manuals and SBC materials.
• Ensure all content aligns with national guidelines, policies, and approved technical standards.
• Coordinate closely with the project team and relevant stakeholders, incorporating feedback and maintaining quality assurance.
• Facilitate a 2‑day standardisation training for Master Trainers.
• Deliver print‑ready versions of adapted flipcharts, key‑message booklets, and community dialogue guides within the agreed timeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health communication, SBC, and maternal‑newborn health interventions.
• Familiarity with perinatal mental health, group antenatal/postnatal care, family‑led postnatal care, and point‑of‑care ultrasound content.
• Ability to produce gender‑sensitive, culturally appropriate, and community‑responsive materials.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
