Inventory Officer

About the role

Rekrut Consulting is hiring a full-time Inventory Officer in Lagos (Marina) within the healthcare supply chain and procurement field. The role covers day-to-day stock monitoring, receiving and inspection, audits, storage organisation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily stock levels, record incoming and outgoing shipments and update inventory systems or ERP software.
• Inspect delivered goods against purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices to verify quality and quantity.
• Carry out regular physical stock counts and cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies between system records and actual stock.
• Organise and label warehouse space using methods such as FIFO to manage shelf life and handle slow-moving or obsolete items.
• Work with procurement and logistics teams to reorder stock, avoid stockouts and manage vendor deliveries.
• Prepare stock level, usage trend and financial variance reports for management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory or stock management.
• Previous experience in a retail, pharmacy or FMCG environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of inventory control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, record-keeping and organisational skills.
• Ability to spot stock discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
