Internal Control Partner – Full‑Time

About the role

Renmoney is looking for a detail‑oriented Internal Control Partner to join its finance team in Nigeria. In this full‑time position you will evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and help mitigate operational risks across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the efficiency of internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily reviews of account opening, deposits, loan disbursements, liquidations, expenses and related documentation.
• Perform periodic reviews of sales commissions, incentives for debt collectors and recovery teams.
• Provide assurance that controls are effective, recommend improvements, and support risk‑minimisation.
• Ensure staff adherence to internal codes of conduct, policies and transaction regulations.
• Execute periodic reconciliations, investigate variances and implement corrective controls.
• Review bank‑statement transactions and associated reconciliations.
• Leverage technology to automate routine control checks and enable data‑analytics insights for management.
• Identify significant business risks and support the implementation and monitoring of controls.
• Coordinate revenue‑assurance and quality‑assurance programmes to prevent revenue leakages.
