Field Retrieval Officer

About the role

The Field Retrieval Officer is responsible for on‑site collection of overdue loan payments and recovery of collateral across assigned local government areas. You will work directly with customers, local authorities and internal teams to improve repayment rates while maintaining the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers with overdue installments to collect payments and negotiate repayment plans.
• Verify and update customer information and repayment status in the system promptly.
• Retrieve devices or collateral from defaulted customers following company procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with local police authorities to support recovery of long‑overdue or fraudulent cases.
• Report collection progress, field findings and potential fraud cases to the supervisor regularly.
• Collaborate with risk control and customer service teams to enhance repayment performance.

Required profile

• Prior experience in loan collection, field recovery or related financial services is preferred.
• Highly communicative, persuasive and able to negotiate effectively.
• Resilient, result‑driven and able to work under pressure to meet recovery targets.
• Strong conflict‑management skills and professional demeanor in difficult situations.
• Physically active and willing to travel across multiple locations.
• Detail‑oriented with accurate documentation of interactions and recovery status.
• Ethical and compliant, operating strictly within approved recovery guidelines.
