About the role
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a Procurement Officer to support its humanitarian programmes in Borno, Nigeria. The role will ensure that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently, transparently and in line with CRS policies and safeguarding standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including requisition, sourcing, bidding, and contract award.
- Ensure compliance with CRS Code of Conduct, safeguarding policies and local procurement regulations.
- Develop and maintain procurement plans, budgets and tracking tools.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams and programme staff to secure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor contract performance, conduct regular reviews and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Provide technical guidance on procurement best practices to programme teams.
Required profile
- Legal eligibility to work in Nigeria, preferably a citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience in procurement within humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong understanding of procurement regulations, ethical standards and safeguarding principles.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and travel within Borno as needed.
