Internal Audit Manager – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

Proforce Limited is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function for its automobile manufacturing operations in Ode Remo, Ogun. The role provides independent assurance on governance, risk management, and control processes across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on organizational risks.
• Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and process audits across manufacturing and corporate functions.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, fraud risks, and areas of non‑compliance.
• Review procurement, inventory management, production, sales, and financial processes for policy compliance.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through reporting and follow‑up.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and report progress to management.
• Support investigations into suspected fraud, misconduct, or policy violations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and best practices.
• Supervise and mentor internal audit staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of relevant audit experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial operations is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
