About the role
Pivotage Consulting, on behalf of its client, is looking for an Intermediate Associate Lawyer to provide strategic and procedural legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters. The role requires strong litigation experience and the ability to manage cases independently while supporting corporate governance and financial transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, shareholder and director issues.
- Advise on investments, banking, and financial transactions ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage litigation matters, represent clients in court, and oversee case documentation.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver timely legal solutions.
Required profile
- Law degree with a minimum 2:1 classification; LLM is a plus.
- At least five (5) years of post‑qualification experience in a reputable firm.
- Membership or familiarity with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Strong commercial awareness, logical reasoning, and excellent communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
