Immigration Compliance & Legal Operations Associate

About the role

Odyssey is seeking a proactive and highly organized professional to lead its legal and immigration compliance function. This part‑time, contract‑based position will start with an 8–12 week engagement and may evolve into a full‑time leadership role for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Use Odyssey’s proprietary platform to create, manage, and process a variety of immigration applications (e‑visas, work permits, business permits, etc.).
• Review client documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance before submission.
• Prepare, track, and submit monthly CERPAC filings and other recurring compliance reports.
• Coordinate payment processing for government fees and statutory charges, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
• Maintain detailed application records and workflow documentation within the Odyssey system.
• Communicate status updates to clients via the platform, email, and phone, and respond to inquiries about timelines and requirements.
• Support client onboarding by guiding HR, legal, and admin teams through immigration workflows.
• Set and track individual goals using Odyssey’s weekly goal‑setting framework.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer or immigration compliance professional.
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly, build systems, and manage tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
• Ownership mindset with a focus on end‑to‑end compliance processes.
