Independent Business Development Consultant

About the role

VELLO Technologies is looking for experienced independent business development consultants to lead the rollout of its AI‑powered platform across key business hubs in Nigeria. The consultant will introduce, negotiate and expand VELLO’s footprint in Lagos and Abuja, targeting event venues, corporate ecosystems, hospitality and lifestyle services.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch and negotiate directly with decision‑makers at convention centres, hotels, corporate event spaces, travel agencies and lifestyle service providers.
• Promote the full VELLO AI ecosystem – Networking Radar, AI Photo Delivery and AI Concierge – to event organisers and corporate leads.
• Build and manage a network of service partners (logistics, ride‑hailing, maintenance, couriers) and professional photographers to support local operations.
• Oversee on‑site deployment of VELLO solutions during partnered events and provide continuous market feedback.

Required profile

• Proven track record of closing high‑stakes B2B deals, corporate partnerships or business brokerage in Lagos and/or Abuja.
• Strong local network across event management, corporate hubs, hospitality and service industries.
• Tech‑savvy mindset with ability to present AI‑driven software and mobile applications.
• Entrepreneurial, self‑driven attitude with a focus on aggressive deal closing.
