Business Development Manager (Events)

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth in the corporate event sector by building strong vendor relationships and delivering tailored event solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for corporate events.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and ensure alignment with event objectives.
• Provide expert consultation to clients with customized event solutions.
• Identify, onboard, and negotiate contracts with high‑quality vendors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
• Monitor industry trends to uncover new business opportunities.
• Analyze event performance data and vendor feedback to improve processes.
• Promote event services and vendor offerings through digital and physical marketing initiatives.
• Resolve vendor‑related issues promptly to maintain strong partnerships.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Business Administration, Event Management or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in event planning, consulting or vendor management.
• Deep understanding of the corporate event industry and vendor landscape.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Experience using project management software.
• Familiarity with digital marketing platforms.
