ICT Teacher

About the role

New Hall School in Marina, Lagos is looking for a full-time ICT teacher to teach Information and Communication Technology in line with the school's curriculum. The role covers computer skills, software, basic programming and digital literacy, and includes managing the computer laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons covering computer operations, software applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Teach basic programming, coding, internet usage and digital literacy where applicable
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments and practical exercises
• Organise practical computer sessions and assess students through tests, assignments, projects and examinations
• Monitor academic progress, give constructive feedback and teach internet safety, cybersecurity and responsible technology use
• Maintain and manage computer laboratory equipment and ensure it is used appropriately
• Support students who need extra help with ICT topics

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role
• Valid teaching certification, license or PGDE
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken
• Strong classroom management skills and knowledge of modern teaching methods
