French Tutor

About the role

Lencore Tutors is looking for a part-time French tutor in Lagos (Marina) to teach French to students at different proficiency levels. The tutor prepares lessons, runs individual or group sessions and helps students prepare for French language examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence construction.
• Develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials based on each student's needs.
• Assess proficiency, monitor progress and assign and evaluate exercises, homework, tests and assessments.
• Provide individual or group tutoring and give extra support to students with learning difficulties.
• Encourage confident use of French and introduce students to French culture, traditions and communication practices.
• Prepare students for French language examinations where applicable.

Required profile

• Must currently reside in the listed island locations.
• Punctual, patient, responsible and passionate about teaching; previous teaching or tutoring experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Excellent command of French, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and make lessons engaging and effective.
