Human Resources Supervisor

About the role

An experienced and dynamic HR Supervisor is sought to lead the Human Resources team and oversee daily HR operations. The role helps shape workplace culture, optimizes talent management processes and enforces discipline. It is based in Eleme, Rivers State, and is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and guide HR team members, covering talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll administration and employee relations
• Partner with department managers to forecast hiring needs, design recruitment strategies and run the end-to-end recruitment cycle
• Handle employee grievances, performance management and conflict resolution, and foster an inclusive, engaging culture
• Ensure company policies comply with local, state and federal labour laws, and update employee handbooks and internal guidelines
• Oversee performance appraisals and coordinate staff training and professional development
• Monitor HR metrics such as turnover rates and time-to-hire, and report regularly to senior management

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2.5 years in an HR Supervisor, HR Generalist or similar leadership role
• HND or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Knowledge of labour laws, employment practices and HR best practices
• Strong leadership, coaching and conflict-resolution skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Integrity, discretion with confidential information, foresight and strong organization and problem-solving

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace
