Human Resources Officer

About the role

The client is a leading renewable energy and power systems firm in Nigeria seeking a proactive Human Resources Officer. You will provide comprehensive support to the HR department, ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company goals and Nigerian labour laws.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate biannual performance appraisals and support performance improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis and implement staff training and development programmes.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes confidentially.
• Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR databases (manual and electronic).
• Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring statutory remittances (NSITF, ITF, PENCOM, etc.).
• Organise employee engagement and wellness activities to foster collaboration and inclusion.
• Provide administrative assistance to management, oversee office supplies procurement and vendor coordination.
• Assist in preparing tender and bid submissions, ensuring timely renewal of statutory and company certifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on HR experience, preferably in a project‑based or technical environment.
• Solid understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
• Certification with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) or equivalent is an advantage.
