Human Resources Manager

About the role

Somba Bread Factory, a subsidiary of Egwuchukwu Farms Nig Ltd, is a growing food manufacturing company producing high-quality, affordable bread products across Nigeria. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager in Owerri who will oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, manpower planning and performance management, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions: recruitment, employee relations, manpower planning and performance management
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
• Onboard new hires and manage employee records
• Develop employee training programs and implement HR strategies
• Resolve workplace conflicts and foster a positive work culture

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Previous experience in food processing industries is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, on-site working environment

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management and training
• Understanding of employment laws, compliance and workplace regulations
• Proficiency in employee relations, conflict resolution and building a positive organisational culture
• Planning, organisational and leadership skills, and effective written and verbal communication
• Experience using HR software and tools for employee management
