Human Resources Manager – Enugu

About the role

Our client, a reputable healthcare organization in Enugu, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function. The role focuses on developing HR strategies, managing the employee lifecycle and ensuring compliance with Nigerian labour laws while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations, develop and improve policies, procedures and systems.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, promotions, transfers and exits, and build a strong talent pipeline.
• Design and implement performance management systems, KPIs and appraisal processes.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and promote engagement and wellness initiatives.
• Identify training needs, coordinate learning programmes and monitor their effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, prepare HR reports, workforce analytics and support payroll and benefits administration.
• Participate in organisational development and change‑management projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in the healthcare sector and strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law are advantageous.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, PHRi or equivalent) is a plus.
