Human Resource Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resource Manager to lead HR functions across our multiple branches in Lagos. The role involves overseeing recruitment, performance management, employee relations and compliance to support our retail, fashion and FMCG operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding and staffing for all branches.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline and employee conduct.
• Oversee performance management, KPIs and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Handle employee relations, grievances and staff retention initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and Nigerian employment regulations.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits and incentives with Finance.
• Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programmes.
• Conduct regular HR oversight at branches and support Branch Managers in maintaining staff standards.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly HR reports for management.
• Manage employee exits, clearance and off‑boarding processes.
• Identify HR issues, implement corrective actions and follow through to resolution.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of HR management experience, preferably in hospitality, salon, spa, retail or service sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management and Nigerian employment practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Experience managing employees across multiple locations is an advantage.
• Strong reporting, documentation and organisational skills.
• Must be firm, fair, proactive, confidential and highly accountable.
