Human Resource Business Partner

About the role

A Human Resource Business Partner position based in Abuja, within the banking, finance and insurance sector. The role covers the full recruitment cycle, employee relations, training and reporting on HR metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full recruitment cycle, in particular contract preparation
• Provide specialist advice to employees and managers on HR policy, practice and employment law
• Keep the financial institution's policies and procedures up to date with current employment law
• Conduct interviews and reference checks on job applicants
• Investigate disciplinary and grievance matters
• Manage leave requests and administration
• Plan and deliver training, including inductions for new staff
• Update physical and digital personnel records
• Prepare reports and presentations on HR metrics such as total hires per unit or department, and reports on expenses, expense budgets and other expenditures

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar industry or sector
• Business understanding
• Succession and strategic management
• Employee and talent management, employee experience, change management and organisational development mindset

Remuneration is stated as NGN 500,000 to 650,000 per month.
