HR Manager, West Africa

About the role

Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand the operational needs of the business across West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop and implement HR operating frameworks, policies and procedures ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee day‑to‑day HR services such as payroll, leave management, onboarding, off‑boarding and promotions.
• Implement and monitor HR KPIs aligned with overall business strategy.
• Maintain up‑to‑date organization structures and job descriptions for all regional roles.
• Evaluate jobs and review compensation packages to stay competitive with market trends.
• Lead manpower planning and recruitment initiatives to attract top talent for Bureau Veritas.
• Develop and drive talent management and capability development frameworks across the region.
• Design and deliver employee relations, reward, recognition and promotion programs.
• Partner with senior management on strategic HR matters including succession planning and career development.
• Conduct training needs analysis and implement learning interventions to upskill the workforce.
• Support ERP/HR system implementation to automate HR and administration processes.
