HR Business Partner / HR Director – Core Business Unit

About the role

This position is for an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Director to lead people strategy for a core business unit within a globally distributed, technology‑driven organization based in Nigeria. You will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, shaping talent management, engagement, workforce planning and organizational development.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to align workforce effectiveness with strategic objectives.
• Design and implement HR strategies that drive growth, engagement and retention.
• Oversee workforce planning, staffing, and talent acquisition to ensure the right capabilities are in place.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, succession and off‑boarding.
• Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain HR policies, processes and compliance while improving operational efficiency.
• Monitor HR metrics (engagement, turnover, efficiency) and provide data‑driven insights.
• Drive HR projects that balance strategic priorities with day‑to‑day execution.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Director in an international digital, technology or fast‑growing company.
• Proven track record in managing the employee lifecycle and HR metrics.
• Strong analytical ability to use compensation, benefits and workforce data for decision‑making.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage complexity and influence senior stakeholders.
