Hotel Operations Manager

About the role

HR Business Partner Solutions (HBPS) is recruiting an Operations Manager for a hotel in Lagos, Marina. The role leads the hotel's operational departments and sets performance targets for guest satisfaction, efficiency, quality and cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Laundry, set departmental targets and drive operational improvements
• Oversee Front Office operations, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, upselling and guest complaints, and coordinate room inventory with commercial and business development teams
• Manage housekeeping cleanliness, room inspection, linen inventory and laundry quality and hygiene standards
• Lead Maintenance, including preventive schedules for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generators and fire safety systems, and contractor coordination
• Coordinate guest experience, VIP handling, feedback monitoring and quality inspections across departments
• Provide team leadership, conduct performance reviews and manage staffing, schedules and labour costs
• Manage operational budgets, monitor costs and prepare performance reports; ensure compliance with health, safety and fire regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration or a related discipline
• 6-10 years of hospitality operations experience, including 3-5 years in a senior operational leadership role
• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, including laundry and facilities management
• Certification or training in health and safety, facilities management or fire safety

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel PMS such as Opera or Protel
• Strong financial management, budgeting and labour cost control
• Revenue management and room yield optimization exposure
• Familiarity with Nigerian hospitality regulations
