Hotel Cashier – Finance & Accounts

About the role
The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions for the hotel, ensuring accurate receipt, processing, recording and safeguarding of payments received from guests and customers. This role supports the Finance & Accounts department and works closely with front‑office and operational teams to maintain smooth financial operations.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process cash, cheques, bank transfers, POS, mobile money and other approved payment methods.
- Issue official receipts and allocate payments to guest accounts or customer invoices.
- Maintain and verify cash float at the start and end of each shift.
- Prepare daily cash summaries, reconciliation reports and secure cash collections.
- Reconcile cash collections with POS, PMS, bank receipts and financial records, investigating any discrepancies.
- Provide courteous billing assistance and resolve routine payment enquiries.
