Hotel Accountant (Full‑Time) – Lagos

About the role

Our client, a luxury hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos, is looking for a meticulous and analytical Accountant to manage daily financial operations and ensure compliance with international hospitality accounting standards and Nigerian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and P&L reports.
• Monitor hotel expenditures, analyse variances and collaborate with Food & Beverage and Operations teams on budgeting and inventory control.
• Oversee the nightly revenue audit, reconciling room, banquet and ancillary income.
• Manage timely filing and remittance of statutory deductions (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT) in line with FIRS and LIRS requirements.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management and daily cash‑flow forecasting.
• Maintain and strengthen internal control policies to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualification (mandatory).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience in the hospitality industry.
• High level of analytical ability, emotional intelligence and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hospitality ERP systems.
• QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
