Massage Therapist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Massage Therapist to join our premium hospitality wellness team in Maitama, Abuja. The role focuses on delivering personalized therapeutic massage treatments that enhance relaxation, recovery and overall wellbeing for our high‑end guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of professional massages including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Relaxation and Recovery therapies.
• Conduct thorough client consultations to assess medical history, preferences and treatment goals.
• Develop and recommend tailored treatment plans and wellness programmes.
• Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists and wellness coaches for integrated rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes and progress documentation.
• Ensure treatment rooms and equipment meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Monitor inventory of oils, linens and consumables and report replenishment needs.
• Promote wellness services, attend promotional events and stay updated on emerging massage techniques.

Required profile

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Massage Therapy, Complementary Health, Physiotherapy or related field.
• Certified Massage Therapist from a recognized institution.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in a luxury spa, five‑star hotel or premium wellness centre.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications and client safety.
• Professional appearance, strict confidentiality and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports and Therapeutic massage techniques.
• Experience with Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology or related modalities (advantageous).
• Ability to assess client needs and customize treatment plans.
• Familiarity with appointment scheduling systems and electronic client records.
