Heavy-Duty Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Electrician to join our engineering team in Marina, Akwa Ibom. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heavy‑duty electrical systems and equipment in industrial and construction environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heavy‑duty electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective actions promptly.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.

Required profile

• OND Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a heavy‑duty electrician in industrial or construction settings.
• Physical ability to work in demanding environments, including lifting, climbing, and confined spaces.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, transformers, and control panels.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
